Meet Assistant Instructor Cara Mcleod. With deep roots tracing her start in Taekwondo right out of Korea, Cara’s fierce and passionate approach to the art form is one of a kind. Always willing to pour her heart out to anyone willing to learn.
I earned my black belt when I learned Taekwondo in South Korea while I was there teaching English. Taekwondo is South Korea’s national sport, and so I trained 5-6 days a week. This is something I did while I was there and I was missing home. The people at the “Dojang” soon became my family. We took care of each other, and did many things outside of taekwondo.
I hope to create the same feeling here at Action Center Elite (ACE). We want to make people feel like they are a part of a family. I hope to encourage you so that you feel supported to face your fears and conquer all of your goals and dreams.
Many of you know that I also have a Physical Education and Education Degree. I love learning about health and fitness, so I am a certified Level 2 CrossFit Coach. I have volunteered at the YMCA and taught Step Aerobic. I work at Gravenhurst Public School as the Physical Education Teacher. I organize the Gravenhurst Family of schools Track and Field. I volunteer with many sports teams, and honestly can say that although I am always crazy busy, I love my jobs!
